The Adhlal team recently returned from LEAP 2024, the global platform for future technologies. As a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of design and technology, LEAP provided a wealth of inspiration and a glimpse into the future.
A Gathering of Minds
The sheer scope of LEAP was impressive. From leading tech corporations to groundbreaking startups and forward-thinking investors, the event brought together the world’s brightest minds. This dynamic environment fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas and sparked new collaborations.
Smart Cities: A Focus on People
One particularly impactful session was “Policy and the Good Life,” presented by Jan Vapaavouri, former mayor of Helsinki. His vision for smart cities resonated strongly with our team. Vapaavouri emphasized the importance of prioritizing human well-being and creating sustainable ecosystems where technology empowers citizens.
His quote, “With digitalization we can make Helsinki the most functional city in the world,” captures the exciting potential of technology to improve our lives. LEAP provided a platform for us to explore how design can play a crucial role in achieving this vision.
Beyond Talks: A Catalyst for Innovation
LEAP wasn’t simply a series of talks; it was a dynamic hub for collaboration. The Orbital Talks stage, the Matchmaking Zone, and other dedicated spaces facilitated connections with diverse players in the tech ecosystem. This allowed us to exchange ideas, identify potential partners, and explore new design possibilities.
Frequency: Open Access for All
We particularly appreciated the Frequency transmission initiative by LEAP, which gave all attendees full access to the event. This commitment to inclusivity ensured everyone had the opportunity to participate and contribute to the conversation.

Expanding on the magnitude of LEAP 2024, each day saw an impressive influx of over 170,000 individuals, converging to witness the forefront of technological advancements. The event’s atmosphere was palpably futuristic, with every aspect meticulously curated to showcase the latest in technology and innovation.
